Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the doctors and nurses take time to understand symptoms and address all questions. The facilities are clean and offer enough space for you to spread out while waiting with other pets. Would recommend to everyone with a pet!!

I am so grateful that we found Lafayette Veterinary Care Center. The employees at this vet were compassionate, loving, attentive, and genuinely concerned about the wellbeing of our 18 year old cat, Miss Pork. She was very sick when we first brought her in, and we were met with sincere concern from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. The front desk staff was so kind and patient. The vet techs and veterinarians were so smart and immediately knew which tests she needed and, more importantly, how to treat her. They helped us manage her health until the end. I just can't say enough about the level of care that we received and the genuine empathy that they had for Miss Pork.

Dr. Emily and Dr. Kristen have been helping my cat, Penny, who has been dealing with allergies that just started appearing since she is almost a year old now. Penny wants to rate you guys a 10/10. She loved all the attention and treats coming from the Dr’s and vet techs! You guys are amazing thanks!

My dog was attacked by a bigger dog and caused extensive damage to her jaw and eye. I can’t thank yall enough for the level of care and compassion yall showed me and Rosie. Thank yall for letting me call and check on her countless times. Your staff was extremely helpful in easing my mind during this difficult time. Thank you staff of doctors that personalized my whole experience. Some people say it’s just a dog. But to me she’s not!!! Yall showed me that yall think the same. Thank you again for taking care of my Rosie she’s home resting and recovering

I was woken up to one of my dogs having a seizure and I thought he was dying. It was early in the morning and I was about 30 minutes outside of Lafayette. I called Lafayette Veterinary Care and frantically explained what was happening, and they told me they could see us as soon as we got there, and they were waiting for my boy, Kobe Dragon, when we did. They ran some blood tests and everything seemed to be okay, and he's been doing okay all day, but I am very thankful they were there and ready to help. This seems like a very good vet!

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Lafayette Veterinary Care Center for the compassion and care they showed our beloved four-legged friend of 13 years, Jethro. Saying goodbye was one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do, but the staff walked with us through every step with gentleness, patience, and genuine empathy. They treated Jethro with dignity and made sure he was comfortable and loved in his final moments. Their kindness brought us comfort during a difficult time, and we are truly grateful for the way they supported not only Jethro, but us as well. Thank you, Lafayette Veterinary Care Center, for helping us give Jethro the peaceful goodbye he deserved. Your compassion will never be forgotten.

We’ve seen Dr. John Leornards during two emergency visits this year. Both times he has been incredibly calm, compassionate, and reassuring. He took the time to explain everything, and made us feel genuinely cared for during stressful moments. The entire staff has also been wonderful, kind, considerate, and welcoming from the moment you walk through the door. While we hope we don’t need emergency veterinary care again, we’re so grateful to know there’s a team like this to turn to, if we do. Thank you all for the compassion you show to both pets and their families.

Called Lafayette Veterinary Care Center after finding that my 13.5 year old lab had passed away. They are not my vet but it was after hours and I am so thankful they are open late. They were very compassionate when taking him for private cremation with Louisiana Pet Crematory. I received a beautiful urn with his ashes along with a paw print and nose print. I will forever be grateful for the end of life services by these two companies working together.

I can’t recommend Lafayette Veterinary Care Center enough. Our dog ate an entire month’s worth of ADHD medicine about a week ago. He spent two nights in the hospital where he received around the clock care. They gave us frequent updates, answered all our questions, and treated him as if he were their own. They even called to check on him after he came home. I can’t thank the team of doctors and nurses enough. Chip wouldn’t be here without them. We are so grateful!
